 Spring is a wonderful time to travel to Uzbekistan, Central Asia and all our destinations along the ancient Silk Road routes. The weather is perfect, the skies are blue and the flowers are blooming everywhere; from brilliant red field poppies and shy mountain tulips to orchards of fluttering petals of apricot, almond and apple. This year marks a first for Uzbekistan, and we’re as excited as you are for our new International Gold Embroidery and Jewelry festival tour. The stage is set in legendary Bukhara city in Uzbekistan for exhibits, demonstrations and sales of fabulous gold embroidery and the tradition of gorgeous Uzbek jewelry making. Bukhara is one of the most fascinating ancient cities of Central Asia. A cultural, scientific, and commercial center on the Great Silk Road, Bukhara is proud of its unique historical importance and cultural significance; 1000s of its monuments are UNESCO protected including the historic city core - the center of traditional gold embroidery and jewelry art.
