Pam and Don Cornutt - September 2023,
We love to travel the world. Recently we have been in India and Bali. We, however, don’t like big tours but seek out individualized experiences. Amongst the places we hadn’t explored were the “Stans” in Central Asia. Zulya Rajabova and her Silk Road Treasure Tours crew helped us design an individualized tour that included lots of extras which included a birthday celebration in Bukhara of Uzbekistan at her parents’ house with her entire family. We also had a special tour to an ecotourism area owned by our guide Abdulaziz Isomov and his family where we baked bread in a traditional Uzbek tandoor oven and explored his nomadic yurt.
Also, a romantic dinner for two by the lake in Kyrgyzstan arranged by Silk Road Treasure Tours wonderful guides Rifat and Davilet was an experiential that we will treasure forever.
From the grandeur of Samarkand and its one of kind Registan Square to our visit to the mountains of Kyrgyzstan where we hunted with golden eagles, our time was filled with rich experiences of the people and the culture of the Central Asia region.
The Silk Road was a very important byway for goods traveling from China to the West.
There is no better way to experience this history and culture than a trip with Zulya Rajabova and her award winning team. She chooses her best knowledgeable and friendly guides, and the locals in Central Asia treat you like family.
